In my twelve-year chapter at CBC/Radio-Canada, I was privileged to collaborate with a stellar team of professionals, including Québec's television luminaries. Our mission was transformative: infusing a fresh visual identity into the newscast while respecting its rich history and significance.
Design Mandate
In my design mandate for Le Téléjournal, I walked a tightrope, balancing the need for captivating visuals and clear news delivery. The multilayered challenge required eloquently encapsulating time-sensitive topics into compelling visual narratives and transforming dense information into engaging visual stories.
Results
My work led to a dramatic transformation of Le Téléjournal, making it a benchmark in broadcast design. My modern, classy design seamlessly integrated the digital era's aesthetics, making it universally appealing. This was particularly important given the newscast airs on platforms like Air Canada's international flights and French network TV5, thus catering to a global audience. My work earned a Gémeaux Award nomination in 2012 and resonated with viewers, doubling our market share.
