SIGNATURE SELECTION

Designed by an award-winning team, these projects infuse narratives by eminent Toronto Star journalists with dynamism, illustrating the transformative potential of visual journalism in today's digital age. Below is a curated selection of works I led from 2017 to 2023, showcasing the combined talents of our extraordinary interactive storytelling and data visualization team. The commitment, creativity, and collaborative spirit of both current members—Cameron Tulk, Nathan Pilla, Andrés Plana, Mckenna Deighton—and past contributors like David Schnitman, Taylor Shute, and Danyal Fallah have indelibly shaped the landscape of digital journalism. A special acknowledgment to the executive producer Tania Pereira, our visual editor Taras Slawnych and the award-winning photographers’ Steve Russell, Richard Lautens, René Johnston, Rick Madonik and Andrew Francis Wallace, who brought stories to life through their stunning visuals. Lastly, immense gratitude to Kelsey Wilson, our dedicated video producer, and Tim Finlan, our meticulous photo team editor, for their unmatched contributions.
